Programs
Our Justice Program aims to strengthen the
justice system, by monitoring the formal legal system, promoting the right to
justice and strengthening the councils of elders in rural communities. Our Education
Program focuses on improving the basic literacy of Q´eqchi´ men and women, and
educating Q´eqchi´ women on issues such as rights of women, family conflict issues
and political participation. The Arts Program includes a "teatro popular" group
who visit rural communities to present plays dealing with justice and cultural issues.
